With a covering letter: "As you will see, the illustrations were by different artists, both distinguished in their fields, those for 1949 bearing the reference 1/49 and so on being by Barboza, and those for 1950 having been drawn by Will Nickless." 19 illustrated sheets. With original envelope which has some wear. The illustrations depict characters from Dickens, George Eliot, R.L. Stevenson &c. large 8vo. 1949-1950.
