New York, New York: The Anderson Galleries, 1925. Hardbound. Good, Ex-library, pages crisp, binding tight.. Burgundy textured cloth on boards with gilt spine lettering and cover decoration, binder's cloth inside front hinge, frontispiece, [xx] [24] 10 bw plates. Glue from label on spine, stamp on title page, ex-libris inside cover, envelope, labels and markings inside of back cover, perforation stamp in several pages. Frayed spine at top and bottom, light fraying of hinge, cover edges.
From the essay by the author and illustrator: "This exhibition is held for the purpose of showing - now that American Illustration is almost a lost art... - how illustrated books, magazines and papers in a few cases are, and once were all made." Ten illustrations from the author's many travels appear in the book including scenes in: Germantown and Wilkesbarre, PA; on the Mississippi River; Florence Italy; Rome; Panama and Spain.
