Little Brown, 1925. First Edition. . Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Ioseph Pennell. Ioseph (Joseph) Pennell was a well know Illustrator in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in 1860 his work spanned 60+ years. This book tells of his upbringing, his art and his struggles and success as illustrator. The book has numerous illustrations from his early work, travels in Europe and the Untied States. The slip case is in poor condition in fact falling apart . The book is very good with clean text, tight binding and crisp art work. With it comes a small book of his San Francisco Drawings. This book is in poor condition overall, however all the drawings are clean and could be framed. The cover is damaged; the text and binding are good. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall
