About This Item
London: James Barrie, 1951. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good -. The interior of the book is clean and tight. There is a former owner's signature on the front free end paper, and a price (8/6) and both the front and rear end papers show a darkened strip near the spine. The blue covers show light fading and edge wear. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, but is only in Good condition, with handling, shallow chips of paper missing from the top and bottom of the spine, and a jaunty moustache and beard added to So Hi's face. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. Synopsis: So-Hi is a little Chinese boy who cut off the tails of the Emperor's favourite horses to make strings for his kite, and of the wonderful adventures he met when a strong gust of wind carried him away into strange lands".
