About This Item
The marvelous adventures of one of America's most interesting explorers. In 1832 he left Missouri with 110 men and 20 wagons to go westward from Fort Osage to the beaver-trapping grounds of the Rocky Mountains. Three years later, the group returned. He lived among the Nez Perces and other Inidans, made maps, kept notes, and took two hazardous trips into the territory of the Hundson's Bay Company. He was spy for the U.S. Govt.
