Mottled cald boards rebacked with a more recent calf spine with original title label. The title page states that this is a new edition illustrated with frontispieces, but there is no sign of a frontispiece (or the absence of a frontispiece) in this copy - presuably it was removed at the time of rebinding. Neat book plate on the front pastedown. The leather is a touch rubbed at the edges, but overall a nice copy.
