Paper for AIAA Propulsion Joint Specialist Conference, Cleveland, Ohio, June 10-14, 1968. " A method of utilizing chemical reactions to produce simulated air of high stagnation temperature and pressure was employed as a means of generating simulated flight conditions for application to testing of hypersonic, airbreathing engines. Certain gaseous oxidizers including nitrous and nitric oxides in combination with a gaseous fuel and diluent gases including argon and helium were reacted in a constant volume process to produce gases of high stagnation temperatures and pressure." This document contains 9 pages of text and 16 figures (pictures, graphs and charts). The wraps are soiled and stained and the front cover edges are shelf worn.
