New-York: John M. Danforth, 1830. First Edition. Octavo (20.5cm.); removed; 34pp. Some brief foxing and light wear, else Very Good and sound. Address delivered by the Federalist Representative from Rhode Island at a gathering organized by the American Institute which promoted American agriculture and the arts. At the time Burges was himself deeply involved in the promotion of a protective trade tariff which would eventually cost him reelection. Missed by Sabin. AMERICAN IMPRINTS 707.
