About This Item

Ritzville, Washington: Ritzville Journal-Times, 1949. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. Tabloid. Pp. 64. Illustrated with black & white photographs, with advertisements throughout. Bound in brown cloth by Anthony's Bindery, Seattle with kraft endpapers and 45 unused kraft scrapbook leaves. September 15, 1949 Journal-Times announcement clippings laid in. No detracting qualities. Dozens of thematic articles on the history of Adams County and Big Bend wheat country compiled by the staff of the Ritzville Journal-Times based on interviews with 50 pioneers. Editor Wilson claims the project was intended to be more complete than the only other published history, Steele's 1904 History of Big Bend Country. A unique assemblage.
