Fair+ leather spine with marbled boards; front gutter split nearly 1/2 way up from bottom and about 1/2" at top; front & rear hinges split but holding well; spine ends chipped, more on top than bottom; corners bumped & rubbed; po name in ink on rep; last 1/3 pages are heavily tanned (appear to be on different paper); 379pp including index plus 73pp appendix of Secret Session April & May 1861.
