Miami: Mnemosyne, 1969. Reprint of the 1883 edition. 8vo, pp. 503. Ex library, with a former owner's bookplate on pastedown; o/w a VG tight copy. A partial record of the activities of the anti-slave movement by an insider and an activist. Pillsbury (1809!1898) was a reformer, Garrisonian abolitionst, editor and lecturer. He was an ardent advocate of women's rights and was the publisher with Susan B. Anthony of The Revolution.
