The last word in the book, 'God', has been inked out by the author, replaced by the word 'gold', the final phrase now reading Oil, Black Gold -- a phrase that had been used previously in the book. What a place for a typo. . Thinly disguised autobiography written as a novel describing the life that the well-to-do author lived and observed when she leaves Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband to be part of the oil rush in Oklahoma in the early part of the 20th century. SIGNED BY AUTHOR on first endpaper. . 8vo - 8" to 9" tall. 246 pages. Signed by Author. D7 .
