Reviews
On Apr 23 2014, a reader said:
Acid Dreams is a very extensive guide to the CIA, LSD and the Sixties Rebellion. While it is very pro-LSD for therapeutic use, the authors have included government details and sources in order to present both sides of the 'Drug Protest'. It is insightful and very easy to read with the first chapter explaining the beginning of LSD (i.e. how it was created; who created it; and if the drug really assisted those with mental illnesses) and every other chapter in succession helping the reader to understand the author's viewpoint, through very thorough research. Perhaps the most entertaining chapter is the Psychedelic Pioneers, which includes a brief history of LSD and the battle between the 'Truth Seekers' and the CIA to make LSD into a therapeutic drug. No ideas are presented in this book without a professional source to back it up, so it is great for University students, or just the every day reader interested in the history of LSD.
Every enthusiastic reader should have this in their collection.
