Pages are clean and unmarked with foldout charts and maps at the back of the book. Some light foxing on the extreme pages. Marbled endpapers. Previous owner's signature and bookplate on the fpdep. Marbled page edges, lightly darkened on the head edges. Half-bound in brown leather and marbled paper with gilt titles on the spine. 5 raised bands on the spine. Worn around the edges with a large chip on the head of the spine. Paper on upper board is peeling and heavily chipped. Scuffed and darkened on the spine. 1ST UK EDITION. SCARCE. VG+. 1st UK Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+.
