Chipping to spine, front joint cracked, wear to board edges. Marginal dampstain, scattered foxing and soiling, minor toning. Maps are foxed with some offsetting, folding plate foxed. Folding chart of Synd's Voyage. "The most important feature of this third edition is the inclusion of the supplement on Captain Cook, title "A comparative view of the Russian discoveries with those made by Captains Cook and Clerke; and a sketch of what remains to be ascertained by future navigators" Coxe also mentions Cook's discovery of Hawaii" (Hill).<br> br> Refs: Hill cf 391, 392; Howes C-834; Sabin 17309; Smith 2085; Wickersham 5882.
