A small quarto measuring 10" by 7" with the facsimile signature of Joshua H. Smith on the front board. In a very near fine, unclipped dust jacket with a 1" closed tear at the upper edge of the front panel and very light rubbing to the upper edge of the spine area. 325 pages of text including an index, bibliography, appendices and chapter notes. Illustrated with map end sheets, reproductions of contemporary works of art, photographs.
