About This Item
Cape Town: R. Beerman Publishers, n.d.. Hardcover. Good/Good. Cloth, in illustrated dust jacket, both a bit water-damaged, though the text block remains nice. A good reading copy, with an interesting provenance: From the library of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., with his bookplate on the front paste-down, and inscribed to him by the author. Fairbanks (1909-2000) was an iconic American actor from Hollywoods Golden Era (his credits include Gunga Din), and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II.
