A tight and attractive first edition of this superbly illustrated study, signed and inscribed large and bold by one of the editors in black ballpoint on the title page: "Best Wishes / to Lily Tolpo / Ward W Moore / 10/23/97." Lily Tolpo (1917-2016) is a noted sculptor who created the life-size Lincoln and Douglas debating monument at Freeport, Illinois, and her husband was noted Lincoln sculptor Carl Tolpo (1901-76).
