New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1942. Later printing with the motion picture tie-in dust jacket. Signed presentation copy from Eric Knight to film director Frank Capra who was head of the famous documentary film unit during World War II for which Knight worked. Inscribed by the author: “For Frank, Here’s to the unit. - Eric.” Fine in a very good chipped and strengthened dust jacket missing an inch piece at the top of the spine. The rear panel of the jacket is a collage of photographs from the acclaimed film adapted from this novel, a World War II film drama starring Tyrone Power, Joan Fontaine, Nigel Bruce, Thomas Mitchell, Sara Allgood.
