Chicago: Melmont Publishers Inc., 1964. Thi sbook has a color illustrated dj with a blue spine and black spine lettering. Dj is edgeworn, with creases to spine; book itself has some mild edgewear, but is mostly clean. The book has a handwritten inscription fro mthe authors dated Dec. 2, 1965, which reads "To Frank Thomson - Canals have played such an important part in the history of our country. We do hope you enjoy the results of our research!" It is signed by both authors. The book is illustrated throughout with color artwork and maps, and offers information about canals for young readers. 64 pages; approx. 7"x9".. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Roger Herrington.
