Sydney, Chatswood: Self Published: Valmai Phillips, 1987. Paperback thick trade, very good condition, black vinyl binding strips front & rear spine edges (spine open,) black & white photos, family trees, covers little marked, bottom corner tip rear cover bent, light foxing covers, spine & edges, minor edgewear. 136 pp. This story has been put together over a number of years. The first part deals with the Watsons and the Smalls, the second with the Rogers family. The author has also attempted to illustrate the life and events of the Sydney of those times. In 1837, the Reverend John Watson, a Presbyterian minister of a small parish outside Fintone in County Tyrone and the small parish outside of Ulster, Northern Ireland came to Australia with his large family of ten children. He became plain 'Mr' and a farmer. This book will interest anyone wanting to learn some early history about the imigrants who came to Australia and lived through hardship to become part of the early history. (No ISBN in book.).
