Caen: F. Le Blanc-Hardel, 1869 vii, 700pp lavishly illustrated throughout with fine quality wood engravings. French language text. There is a little loss to the spine head and the upper hinge starting at 35mm from the the top. Light ageing to the title page otherwise exceptionally clean and bright throughout. Armorial bookplate to the front pastedown together with a book sellers label from Madeira.
