Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Co., 1963. Unpaginated. Deep red boards with black spine and gold lettering. Slight rubbing at bottom spine. Clean and unmarked throughout. Binding is square and tight. First free endpaper has a charming hand-drawn illustration of a house in brown ink and the inscription: "To Daddy from Pam and Steve, 1975. Eric Sloane" Price-clipped, pictorial dust jacket is toned and faded along the edges. There is some foxing to inside back dj. This is not a first edition, but a profusely illustrated, very nice reading copy of the well-known artist" rendingers and descriptions of "antiquities and American firsts.". Signed, Inscribed & Illus By Author. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. Illus. by Eric Sloane. Octavo.

The store contains over 10,000 books in over 80 different subjects, and favors good used books and good literature (both hardcover and paperback) over popular books and bestsellers. Our Internet business began in 2001. Upon visiting the store, we can show and sell individual online titles upon request. Store hours are 10:00-5:30 (Tues.-Sat.) and 11:00-4:00 (Sun.). The business is run by Richard Chalfin.
