About This Item

1978. Very good condition. Five whimsical miniature watercolor paintings in naive style, painted predominantly in bright red and deep yellow, of animals and people.

The subjects include a man on horseback in yellow spotted coat, a bird perched on the horse's tail; a woman in long yellow spotted dress; a tiger [cat?] beneath a yellow spotted bird perching in a tree; a yellow spotted rooster with 2 chicks; and a narrow red house with many windows. Each painting features red and yellow flower designs behind the subject.

Framed in black painted frames, 2 3/4 x 3 1/2". One signed in pencil on verso, "Arlene White, 9 -'78"
