Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1760-1795. Mounted. Engraved; 11x14"; LE BRUN, CHARLES. 4 hand-colored engraved allegorical plates of the continents. Each depicts a royal couple indigenous to the area in their urban setting.. Europe, Asia, Africa, and America engraved by Rousselet after Le Brun. Approximately 11x14 inches each sheet size, margins shaved to platemarks; color is old, if not period; mounted to stiff boards. Originally owned by B. Altman [1840-1913 and known as a department store owner and a wealthy art collector], priced label on verso for $895-. Paris: Le Blond, late 18th century .
