Buenos Aires: Editorial Sopena, 1963. Original wraps. Very Good +. The 1963 1st Argentinian edition of this collection of chess games compiled by Genrikh Kasparian (1910-1995), the Armenian International Grandmaster considered to have been one of the great composers of chess endgame studies. Complete in 2 volumes. Both volumes solid and VG+ in their pictorial wrappers, with very light abrading along the spine crowns. Otherwise, clean as could be, with no writing or markings internally save for light pencil annotations at Vol. I's rear endpaper. Thick octavos, translated from its original Russian into Spanish by Estanislao Zaks. Very impressive compilation of 2,500 endgame positions as analyzed by G.M. Kasparian.

Description:
Two book set, as shown on main listing. Tanning and foxing present, heavily so, and worse on Volume 1. Covers have no stickers/residue, but moderate spine creasing. Former owner's name present, both written in pencil and in a purple stamp that is present in multiple places (mostly on the first and last couple of pages). Spines are broken and the books open very easily, but the pages seem to be secure. Not pretty copies, but usable and readable. Nonsmoking environment. Will ship with signature confirmation.
