(vry mnr edgewear & creasng to hd of spine & uppr fore-edge, mnr dustsoilng at fore-edges), NF/VG copy, w/ bkplate of David Williams on frnt pstdn. First edition of this scarce and fascinating travelogue/saga of making the movie, The Edge of the World, which chronicled the depopulation of the Scottish Shetland Islands in the 1930s. The movie starred John Laurie, Belle Chrystal, Eric Berry, Finlay Currie, Niall MacGinnis, and others, and offered a gripping and picturesque look of life on Foula Island during the Great Depression. In 1978, Michael Powell, and some of the surviving cast and crew returned to the island and made Return to the Edge of the World.
