Two oversized hardcovers;---Volume 1, xxiv + 408 pages, plus 28 aquatint plates; front cover detached with pages to and including title page clinging desperately to it, back cover still securely attached and tight in binding along with all of the text pages; both plain brown leather covers rubbed and heavily worn at corners, spine gilt decoration and lettering still bright and clear; interior has a faded old signature/city in pencil on first blank page, offsetting of all plates to pages before and after, considerable light foxing throughout to many pages, although many remain spotless, and all otherwise clean and unmarked; overall Poor condition due to the detached cover, although with a solid Good interior;---Volume 2, viii + 384 pages, plus 12-page Index and 16 plates; front cover has been reglued but is still precariously close to becoming detached, back cover still securely attached and tight in binding along with all of the text pages; both plain brown leather covers rubbed and heavily worn at corners (although somewhat less so than Volume 1), spine gilt decoration and lettering still bright and clear; interior has offsetting of all plates to pages before and after, considerable light foxing throughout to many pages, although many remain spotless, and all otherwise clean and unmarked; again overall Poor condition due to the nearly detached cover, although with a solid Good interior.
