Gilt decorations on covers and spines are rubbed, box has shelf wear, light scuffing and rubbing. A Visit from St. Nicholas contains: facsimilies of the earliest printed newspaper and pamphlet versions and a holograph manuscript with a commentary by Clifton Fadiman. A Christmas Carol : Illustrations by John Leech, a facsimile of hte first edition with an introduction anda bibliographical note by Edgar Johnson.
