About This Item

Urbana, IL: State of Illinois Department of Registration and Education, 1944. Soft cover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Very Good; see description and scans. Corals from the Chouteau and Related Formations of the Mississippi Valley Region (Illinois State Geological Survey Report of Investigations # 97) by William H. Easton. Urbana: State of Illinois Department of Registration and Education, State Geological Survey Division, 1944. Plain brown printed perfect-bound wraps, 95 pp. Replete with drawings, diagrams, tables, and black and white photographs. Very Good; the inevitable age toning to the covers is just moderate, and there is virtually no toning to the contents inside. The last few pages have a dog-ear type fold, but with no loss. Faint penciled prior-owner's signature on title page. But for that, and the few corner folds mentioned above, this example is Near Fine. Quite sharp. Front free endpaper bears the faintly penciled signature of a priorl owner of this piece, Margaret Gibson, dated 6/4/51. The Real McCoy, the 1944 original, and as such quite scarce. A treasure trove of information and scholarly text for those topically involved, as well as for the genre collector. It would be difficult to find one in better condition than this. See all scans. Ships in stout protection, of course. LNG6
