Rockford, Illinois: Graphic Arts Corporation, 1941. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Very Good. Illinois Art Project (WPA). 1941, 1st edition, 144pp, illustrated wraps. Cover soiled; small previous owner tags on inside and outside of front cover; 1 inch portion of the title page clipped off (not affecting text); rusted staples exposed at front and rear. Contents clean and tight. still, VG overall. Cover design is the same as the guides to Cairo, Princeton, and Galena except for the color. Where Galena and Cairo are Blues with Gold, Rockford and Princeton are Brown/Tan with Orange. Part of the American Guide Series. Compiled by workers of The Federal Writers Program of the Work Projects Administration (WPA) in the State of Illinois. Illustrations by the Illinois Art Project (WPA). Very scarce.
