Spine chipped with some loss and repaired with clear tape; lacks map in rear pocket; hinges weak contents generally clean with no protruding maps. Also contains an advert for "Handbook of Architecture" as a travelling companion tipped in before front endpaper. Endpapers dated August, 1856, spine titled "Northern Italy, Part I; cover titled "Hand-book Sardinia, Lombardy, & Venice. Published in London, Paris, Milan, Florence, Venice, and Rome. Lister 113
