Engraved scaled survey of the Harbor of Cleveland, Ohio, showing "pier work recommended by the Board of Engineers". Published "To accompany the Report of the Board of Engineers, Lake Harbors & Western Rivers" on May 27th, 1854. Adapted from a survey by Captain Howard Stansbury (1806-1863), a prominent cartographer and civil engineer who had a lasting impact on the development of the Great Lakes region.
