At the time of publication this was the first history of 18 Ranch. A few of the 30 interviews include Mrs. W.J. Beaver present owner of the 18 Ranch, Edwin Aiken, J.H. (Mack) Davenport, Buster Welch, Sam Baugh and others. Johnnie Ammons wrote the foreword. Plus personal memoir by Sidney Bryan about his early life on the ranch. This ranch sprawled around four counties- Scurry, Fisher, Nolan and Mitchell.
