Book is a collection of facts regarding medicine in humans and animals, artificial wines and liquors, miscellaneous formulae for such things as artificial maple syrup, axle grease, blackheads, chocolate, deoderized alcohol, embalming fluid, fly paper, grease paint, harness blacking, nickel plating bath, quinine hair tonic, stove polish liquid, superfluous hair, root beer, etc., cements, perfumes, face powders, tests for the urine, facts worth knowing, facts about money, fate of the apostles, chapters on ice creams, candy making, etcetera etcetera. Black hard cover without titling, green and brown decorated end papers, black and white portrait of author on title page, 128 pages as well as a ten-page index, publisher's advertising at back. Cover has edge wear particularly to corners and lower edge, cover has multiple areas of discolouration/fading but is still obviously black, pages and page edges are darkened, there were a few pencil marks in the text which we erased, page 52 is printed upside-down (but its reverse side - page 51 - is upright). This is a fascinating book, in relatively nice shape - binding is tight. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg.
