Two typed sheets in English from the publisher on flyleaf explaining the genesis and meaning of the book, with English index list of the illustrations tipped in over the Polish index in the back. 8 text pages in Polish followed by the full page color illustrations by Polish children. First edition on the English explanation stated as 1955 with 10,000 copies. However, title page states publication date of 1954; copyright page states 1955.. Some of the drawings are from the German occupation, and others are post-WWII. Powerful and poignant drawings. DJ was folded and inserted in back of the book, and has taped repairs, tears. .
