Henry Wilson Allen wrote under both names, Will Henry, and Clay Fisher. And under either name he created some of the best of the best historical fiction ever written. Elmer Kelton said, "Will Henry combines the best talents of a natural storyteller with an inspired poet's glorious use of the English language." (from the back cover of the book) I agree. Will Henry's use of humor, his sympathetic and intelligent treatment of Indians, and his penchant for historical accuracy tend to make one of his books a pleasure to read on many levels.
