New York: The Philosophical Library, 1946. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's green cloth stamped in gilt; green topstain. Very Good with light lean to spine, light wear to cloth at extremities. Previous owner notations and stamps to endsheets and half-title page, clipping taped to rear pastedown. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with rubbing, moderate fading to spine and edge wear with fraying at spine ends.
Synopsis
In 1946, Paramahansa Yogananda, published his life story, Autobiography of a Yogi, which introduced many westerners to meditation and yoga. It has since been translated into 25 languages, and the various editions published since its inception have sold over a million copies worldwide.
