[Cambodia]: n.pub., 1976. [36p.], pictorial wraps, approximately 9x12 inches; rubberstamps of the Association Belgique-Kampuchea on front cover, blurred name stamped in upper right corner of first page; wraps foxed at top edge of front cover, covers mildly creased and edgeworn. OCLC lists five holdings in various countries. Scarce propaganda publication of the Khmer Rouge government celebrating the new regime’s achievements, similar in style to China Pictorial but of lesser printing quality. Though issued in the format of a pictorial magazine, it is a stand-alone item rather than a serial. Nine pages are in color, the rest featuring black and white photos or text. Includes a section on the flag and national arms, images of Angkor Wat, a timeline of the final stages of the guerrilla war with photos of the fighting, many photos of peasants and evacuated city dwellers in black pyjamas digging ditches, plus sections on transportation, on non-rice crops, handicrafts manufacture, and traditional medicines. Text is in English and French, with Khmer titles on the cover but no internal text in Khmer. The stamps on the cover mark this as a sample copy distributed by the Association Belgique-Kampuchea, a pro-Khmer Rouge group in Brussels whose most prominent member was human rights attorney Francois Rigaux.
