Previous owner name on top of front free endpaper. Inscribed by Grafton on title page "For Katie from Kinsey.Sue Grafton 5-26-1990." Same format as the first edition, using same jacket design on front and rear panels and spine. First Book Club Edition. 1st Book Club edition..

Synopsis

"A" Is for Alibi is the first novel in the Kinsey Millhone series by crime writer Sue Grafton. It was published in 1982. The first printing of "A" Is for Alibi was 7,500 copies. Grafton based the story to some extent on her own 'fantasies' of murdering her then husband prior to divorce.

Phantom Bookshop was established in 1993 by bookman and artist John Anthony Miller and located there for eight years in Downtown Ventura at 451 E. Main St in Ventura, California. Many famous authors and celebrities signed there and was a top favorite bookshop of Ray Bradbury's. We specialize used and rare books, unusual material and signed books with an emphasis on the unique, sci fi and fantasy, first editions, scientific and medical. We also have a nice selection of high quality facsimile dust jackets done etching and engraving artist John Anthony Miller (all jackets are marked tastefully that they are facsimile jackets, printed on high quality non acidic paper using the finest inks that will last a lifetime with care). Phantom Bookshop relocated in 2000 as an internet business.
