Description:
United Kingdom: Grub Street the Basement, 2001. Trade Paperback. Very Good. 6" x 9. 179 Pasges Indexed. No marks or stamps. Interior text pages are flawless. A great debt is owed to such high-spirited fliers as Buck McNair. From 1941 he flew Spitfires for three years, surviving 266 operational sorties over France and Malta, with 16 victories to his tally, and suffering serious back and eye injuries. Contents in 14 Chapters: The Boy from Nova Scotia, The Great Adventure Begins, England, No. 411 Squadron RCAF, War over Northern France, To Malta, Fighter Pilot's Paradise, Gibraltar Interlude and the End, Back with Fighter Command, Back to the War, The Chief, The Summer…
