Les Trois Mousquetaires Les Trois Mousquetaires est le plus clbre des romans d'Alexandre Dumas. Il est le premier volet de la trilogie romanesque dite des mousquetaires, laquelle il donne son nom, suivi par Vingt ans aprs (1845) et Le Vicomte de Bragelonne (1847). Le roman raconte les aventures d'un Gascon impcunieux de 18 ans, d'Artagnan, venu Paris pour faire carrire dans le corps des mousquetaires. Il se lie d'amiti avec Athos, Porthos et Aramis, mousquetaires du roi Louis XIII. Ces quatre hommes vont s'opposer au premier ministre, le cardinal de Richelieu et ses agents, dont le comte de Rochefort et la belle et mystrieuse Milady de Winter, pour sauver l'honneur de la reine de France Anne d'Autriche. Avec ses nombreux combats et ses rebondissements romanesques, Les Trois Mousquetaires est l'exemple type du roman de cape et d'pe et le succs du roman a t tel que Dumas l'a adapt lui-mme au thtre, et a repris les quatre hros dans la suite de la trilogie.
