China Square Publishing, 2007. This is a near fine softcover copy with almost no wear. SIGNED by the artist, Chen Jiagang, on the front endpaper, and dated. Not inscribed to anyone, just signed and dated. Otherwise completely clean inside and out. Illustrated throughout mostly in color with Chen Jiagang's photographs. One photograph plate has an unusual diagonal line across the left corner of the photograph. It might be a crease, or some kind of binding error. Essays by Eric Shiner and Kristina Feliciano. Chen Jiagang (1963- ) was born in China and trained as an architect at Chongqing University. After practicing architecture for some years he became interested in the development of modern Chinese cities and started to document his observations with photographs. He began to exhibit in 1999.
