Signed and inscribed by author. The late architect O'Neil Ford was designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Council on the Arts; the only individual to ever be given that title. He was a regional architect who incorporated modern European design with early Texas architecture. He designed a lot of really great buildings, public and private. The author, the late David Dillon, was the architecture critic for the Dallas Morning News for 25 years. He was widely respected and, for many, a driving force for Dallas urban design during the important last 2 decades of the 20th century. He had a national stature. Anyone interested should read his obituary from 2010. This book is Dillon's opus to a legend. The book and dust jacket are in fine/near fine condition with only slight shelf wear. The corners are square, and the pages are clean and unmarked. The book comes from the estate of an important local civic leader who is quoted in Dillon's obituary.
