Besser als ihr Ruf: Das Kulturvolk der Vandalen. Ihr Name steht fuer Zerstorung und Verwuestung: die Vandalen. Dabei lebten sie zu ihrer Bluetezeit in einem gut organisierten Staat und pflegten romische Lebensart. Im 5. Jahrhundert n. Chr., als die Volkerwanderung das spate Romische Reich erschuetterte, zogen die Vandalen durch Europa in den Norden Afrikas; sie eroberten romische Gebiete und errichteten ein machtiges Konigreich. Das Badische Landesmuseum Karlsruhe zeigt ein ganz neues Bild der Vandalen - von ihren Urspruengen in Mitteleuropa bis zum Untergang ihres Staates.
