About the author

Born in Bristol, Somerset, and raised in various places in the South West of England, Nikki studied computer science and worked in high tech before realizing that she loved writing prose much more than she liked writing code. She was first published by the War of the Monster Trucks, a soccer fanzine for supporters of Sheffield Wednesday football club. In her early thirties, Nikki moved to Canada along with her three small children and began to establish herself as a freelance writer. She contributed to a variety of Canadian and European publications, including the award-winning Cycle Canada, and wrote everything from speeches for government ministers and senators to video scripts, websites, whitepapers and more for a variety of private- and public-sector clients. During this time, she also added a fourth child to her young family and authored a number of full-length works of detective fiction, one of which was published in 1999. Now a senior writer and communications expert for a major Canadian Crown Corporation, Nikki continues to write fiction in her spare time and is happy to be a self-confessed word nerd.

On the title page there is an inscription that is as follows: "To My Good Friend/Sherman Tanenbaum!/ Be Good Cause Karma's a Bitch" This is followed by an emoticon. No one signed this inscription so it is unclear who wrote it, but I suspect it could well have been Sergio himself. 224 pages, interior of work is clean and binding is tight. The work has likely been read once. Available for immediate shipment.
