Nothing Is Easy Paperback - 2011

by Gary F. Paduch

From the publisher

Tennessee is acknowledged to be one of the most beautiful places in America. For much of the last century it remained somewhat isolated; there were few interstate highways until the 1970's. Farming was the dominant economic activity in East Tennessee through the sixties. It was a tough and unforgiving environment. The people in this book were steady and conservative. The author bonded with them, if not literally, spiritually. Now we sit in front of computer screens and television sets. We are no longer the "doers" that we once were, our time is spent amusing ourselves. We are poorer for it. The characters in this book were "engaged". They contributed directly or indirectly to the texture of our national character. They were colorful, iconic, and independent. They are worthy of a closer look.

About the author

Gary F. Paduch was born 1940 and graduated college in 1963. Nothing Is Easy, Mr. Paduch's fourth book, provides an insight of the people of East Tennessee in the late 1950's to early 1960's. These hard working people contributed directly and indirectly to the texture of our national character. They were colorful, iconic, and independent. Be Quiet - Be Patient, his third book, is an adventure/action work of fiction. His second book, Allegheny Muskrat Code, recounts his younger years living in the Allegheny River Valley locale. He taught school for two years, one year at Miller School of Albemarle, and one year in the Public School System of the State of Michigan. Mr. Paduch has been an artist and painter all of his life. After leaving the teaching profession, entered the business world as a real estate developer for the past 47 years. His first book, My Year At Miller School, recounts his experiences at Miller School of Albemarle in 1963 - 1964.
