Lost Your Car Keys? Paperback -

by Compiled by Kathy Sadler

From the publisher

This book is in memory of Heather Sadler, who was struck down and left to die at the side of the road in an alcohol related hit and run crash. According to MADD Canada, approximately four people are killed and 175 injured daily in drunk-driving crashes. We do not want impaired drivers on the road! We do not want them to put their keys into the car's ignition! This is where the idea for this book came from. Although we wish impaired drivers would lose their car keys--or have some thoughtful person take them away--the rest of us don't like losing ours. Although not funny at the time, the retelling of the many incredible stories about this very situation often becomes quite humorous! We think readers will enjoy the following collection of lost and found car keys.

Description:
Ottawa, ON: Baton Press, 2016. Paperback. Very Good. SIGNED BY KATHY SADLER; Presented here are 52 stories written by people who lost their car keys, all of them illustrated by a range of artists from children through to professionals. This book underlines the terrible social issue of impaired driving by taking a lighter side, describing forgetfulness, embarrassment, annoyance and inconvenience, instead of loss and deep anguish. The author hopes the irony and amusement that readers derive from these pages might resonate with the more serious message.
