About This Item

New York: Random House, 1972. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo, 365pp. Beautiful Stated First Edition, First Printing with the Random House sequence to "2" as called for. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a bit of softness to the spine ends and a hint of toning to the top edge. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($6.95), has a touch of toning to the top edge that is so common with this white jacket but still bright and fresh with no chipping, creases or tears. Signed by the author on the title page. This is the binders copy with their stamps on the front end-paper. Comcom, was a well known typesetter who did a lot of work for Random House in the 1970's and '80s. They were ultimately acquired by the commercial printing giant, R.R. Donnelly. A very sharp and well-preserved collectable copy of the author's second book and uncommonly found signed.
