About This Item
London: Hatchard, 1855. 24 pages. A fine copy professionally rebound in quarter calf and marbled boards. Lucan had defended his handling of the cavalry at Balaclava in a speech to the House of Lords on 19th March 1855. Anthony Bacon responded anonymously in a pamphlet entitled Remarks in Reply to Lieutenant General the Earl of Lucan’s Speech....By a Cavalry Officer. This more detailed defence of his conduct is Lucan's rebuttal of Bacon. (For other books about the Crimean War please search my stock using the keyword crimean.)
